Il a soufflé un très fort vent cette nuit et on a senti le bateau vibrer,
ce n’est pas agréable. Nous passons dire au revoir à Anna et HP qui rentrent au
Danemark aujourd’hui et prenons la route vers le sud pour visiter l’ile de Lefkas.
Nous allons passer sur le pont flottant (et pivotant) en voiture, pour la
première fois. Et, chance, nous y arrivons à midi. Nous le voyons pivoter,
trois voiliers passent et il se remet à sa position initiale. La queue de
voitures est longue. Juste après nous arrivons à la ville de Lefkada que nous
visitons à pied. Beaucoup de monde, c’est samedi et il fait beau. Nous
continuons en longeant la côte ouest qui est montagneuse. Nous descendons à une
grande plage, nous baignons mais Jens a oublié mon haut de maillot de bain !
Je me baigne quand même, il y a peu de monde sur la plage. Nous remontons sur
la grande route (qui n’est pas grande du tout) et commençons à chercher un
endroit pour déjeuner. A Agios Nikitas nous voyons de nombreuses voitures
stationnées et une rue interdite aux voitures qui descend vers la mer. Nous la
prenons, à pied, et plusieurs tavernas sont ouvertes en bas près d’une petite
plage. Nous prenons une salade de tomates et les tomates doivent venir de
Hollande, elles n’ont aucun gout. Mais le plat suivant « aubergines imam »
est excellent. Un café grec termine le repas et nous repartons, toujours en longeant
la côte ouest. Plus loin, une pancarte indique une plage à 5 km. Nous sommes
assez hauts et ces 5 km sont une descente raide, étroite, à pic et toute en
épingles à cheveux. Et tout cela pour arriver à une minuscule plage entre des
rochers. Une famille de Hollandais y est, c’est tout. Baignade rapide et
remontée raide en voiture. Nous continuons maintenant vers Vasiliki, au sud de
l’ile de Lefkas , nous y étions venus à l’automne avec Hera II, nous avions
assisté au « Jour du non » le 28 octobre 2018 (je crois). La marina
qui n’était pas finie ne l’est toujours pas. Pour rentrer nous prenons la route
plus rapide qui longe la côte Est et arrivons au bateau à 19 h 30. Il est tard,
je suis fatiguée et j’envoie juste un message qu’il n’y aura pas de blog
aujourd’hui.

It blew a really strong wind last night and we could
feel the boat vibrate, it's not pleasant. We stop by to say goodbye to Anna and
HP who are returning to Denmark today and we are heading south to visit Lefkas
Island. We are going to cross the floating (and swinging) bridge by car, for
the first time. And, luckily, we get there at noon. We see it rotate, three
sailboats pass and it returns to its original position. The line of cars is
long. Just after, we arrive at the town of Lefkada which we visit on foot. Lots
of people, it's Saturday and the weather is nice. We continue along the west
coast which is mountainous. We go down to a large beach, we swim but Jens
forgot my swimsuit top! I swim anyway, there are few people on the beach. We go
back to the main road (which is not big at all) and start looking for a place
to have lunch. In Agios Nikitas we see many parked cars and a street closed to
cars leading down to the sea. We take it on foot and several tavernas are open
below near a small beach. We have a tomato salad and the tomatoes must come
from Holland, they have no taste. But the next dish "aubergines imam"
is excellent. A Greek coffee ends the meal and we leave, driving still along
the west coast. Further on, a sign indicates a beach 5 km away. We are quite
high and these 5 km are a steep, narrow and hairpin descent. And all this to
arrive at a tiny beach between rocks. A Dutch family is there, that's all.
Quick swim and steep ascent by car. We are now continuing to Vasiliki, in the
south of the island of Lefkas, we had been there with Hera II in the fall, we saw
the parade for the "Day of No"
on October 28, 2018 (I believe). The marina that was not finished then is still
not finished. To get back we take the faster road along the east coast and
arrive at the boat at 7:30 pm. It's late, I'm tired and I just send a message
that there won't be any blog today.
